Celebrating Belonging!

Where was Emma and her dog today? Great Plains SPCA to celebrate all of the four legged friends who have found forever homes! What a beautiful day to slow down, celebrate and enjoy. It was a beautiful sunny day to have alumni walk around with good food, music and company.

For my first event, it was amazing to be among the staff and volunteers. To see the delight on people's faces when they recognized a former dog who had been at the shelter was priceless. What an incredible event for GPSPCA to host! Thank you to all of the participants who donated to GPSPCA and submitted names for Emma's Dog. It will be exciting to see what his or her name will be! At the conclusion of my next few events, I will be announcing the results on Twitter and my website.

Emma's Dilemma is a book about adoption. However, the other theme of my book is belonging. It was heart warming to be a part of an event that encouraged such a sense of belonging. Thanks GPSPCA for all that you do for the community and thanks Goldminds Publishing for taking a chance on Emma!
