Acceptance...A tricky concept for many. What does it mean to be accepted? Does it require others or is acceptance of self enough?

Often, we rely on the acceptance of others to gauge success. We're so focused on looking away--What are others doing? What do they have that I don't? Why are they excelling and I'm stuck? This constant state of looking outward causes us to become lost, bitter, self-saboteurs or content to create an illusion of ourselves. What if we blocked out the "noise" of others, choosing silence to look inward?

We all have goals that we've met and others have been unattainable. What if we had the courage to purge those things that allude us and embrace today? Instead of worrying about all of the things we haven't done, we focus on who we want to become?
