He Just Knows


During my Dad's last trip to KC he mentioned several times that he had something important to give me. As he bent over to retrieve the item, he proudly handed me this. What is this you might ask? It is the "artwork" of a 9 year old. I'm not really sure how the idea of gluing pictures from a magazine came about and the process to deem this is as artwork. And...it's really not important.

What is important is the fact that my Dad kept this for the last uh hmmmm "few years" (or 40). See, to him it wasn't a bunch of magazine pictures glued to a brick. It was the idea that these memories and thus, this item would be important to me. Important enough to remember it, load it into the car and bring it to me.

On this Father's Day, I want to thank my Dad for this and so much more. Yes, this brick will remain with me...
