The Power of Common Courtesy

As a runner, you see many things during your "travels." Yesterday, while running my 5 miles I encountered the kindness of strangers. Not once, not twice but THREE times I had complete strangers stop and let me proceed through an intersection.

Let me tell you, this was not a typical morning. Usually, running requires lots of attention on the runner's part. It is not uncommon for cars to race through intersections trying to get to their destination without a glance.

Not only did people stop but I was greeted with enthusiastic waves and smiles. What a way to start the day! Of course I reciprocated with a wave and a smile. However, I have to admit that this experience set the tone for a wonderful day. My heart felt warm and I found that I proceeded through my day spreading the same warmth (Thank you for the lesson). Thank you to the kind people I met!

This week, how will you spread warmth and courtesy? Note how it makes you feel and keep the good going!

THINK your best thoughts in order to FEEL your best to TRY and BE your best!
