Getting Up

On my early morning run this week, I experienced something many runners do. I fell. In my mind, I'm hoping that it looked like something out of The Matrix. In reality, I know it looked like a cross of Lucille Ball meets Phoebe from Friends. What does one do when lying on the concrete at 5:00 a.m. with about 3 more miles to go? It made me think about life in general. Let's face it, life sometimes propels you to the top or performs an all time greatest leg sweep move taking you down. Regardless, it's how we negotiate both scenarios that matters. Maintaining gratitude when you're at the peak or pit is essential. With enormous things going on, there's always something to be grateful for.
