Recently, I was in the bookstore with my daughter. As she was looking for a certain title, I was hanging back as she searched. Ever have one of those moments where it's just right? This was one of those moments; relaxed, happy and content. It was about to get better...
I sauntered over to the children's section to browse. As I entered, a father and his little girl walked up and stopped at a display. In her full three year old voice, she began to sing "Let It Go" with the sweetest smile on her face. Can you guess what display she might have been standing by? :)
As she finished, her father complimented her and my daughter and I gave a little clap. She beamed!
What I loved about that interaction was the little girl's absolute ability to embrace the moment without fear, worry or concern. She didn't care who saw her or what they thought, she just sang with happiness.
Wouldn't the world be better if we could all embrace moments like this? Perhaps not all of us breaking into song in the bookstore, but intentionally finding what makes us happy. When we do; we walk a little taller, smile a little brighter and approach others with a kind heart. How will you find your happy this week?
